When you try to do things perfectly, they often end up turning out very imperfectly. It’s a simple truth. The more focus you put on being perfect, the less focus you will have on actually managing your time well and getting your work done. Nobody’s schedule is perfect. Nobody’s skills are perfect. All you can do is give it your best effort. Giving yourself some room to breathe is one of the best things you can do while you work at developing your time management skills.

To the extent that it’s possible for you, try to work according to your natural rhythms. For some people, nighttime is when they have the most energy. “Morning people,” on the other hand, are at their best during the early hours of the day.
