مشاريع زها حديد

زها حديد مهندسة معمارية عراقية الأصل مولودة في بغداد عام 1950، كريمة السياسي الليبرالي والاقتصادي العراقي المعروف محمد حديد الذي اشتهر بتسيير اقتصاد العراق إبان بداية الحقبة الجمهورية (1958 ـ 1963).

بدأت زها دراستها الثانوية في بغداد، وأكملت دراستها الاولية في الجامعة الاميركية في بيروت 1971، ثم التحقت بالدراسة في بريطانيا، وتدربت في مدرسة التجمع المعماري في لندن Architectural Association، ثم عملت في بريطانيا بعد تخرجها عام 1977 في مكتب «عمارة متروبوليتان» مع المهندس المعروف ريم كولهاس والمهندس المعماري زينيليس، وذلك بالتوازي مع عملها كمعيدة في كلية العمارة. بدأت العمل بمكتبها الخاص ابتداء من عام 1987.

حصلت زها على شهادات تقديرية وانتظمت كأستاذة زائرة او استاذة كرسي في عدة جامعات في اوروبا واميركا منها هارفارد وشيكاغو وهامبورغ واوهايو وكولومبيا وبيل.

تنتمي زها حديد الى المدرسة «التفكيكية» المعمارية، وهي مدرسة فكرية حديثة تقوم على اسس المدرسة «التفكيكية« الادبية التي اسسها الفيلسوف الفرنسي جاك ديريدا في السبعينات.

عرفت زهاء حديد بتصميماتها التي تنزع الى الخيال والمثالية، وصنفها البعض غير صالحة للتنفيذ، خصوصاً ان ابنيتها تقوم على دعامات عجيبة ومائلة. اهم مشاريعها الجديدة مرسى السفن في باليرمو عام 1999، والمركز العلمي لمدينة وولفسبورغ الالمانية 1999، وكذلك المسجد الكبير في ستراسبورغ (2000)، ومنصة التزحلق الثلجي في النمسا (2002)، وفي المنطقة العربية صممت متحف الفنون الاسلامية في الدوحة. والجسر في ابوظبي الذي اقيم على ساحل الخليج ما بين ارض دولة الامارات العربية وعاصمتها ابوظبي.

فازت زها حديد بجائزة «بريتزيكر» في مجال التصميم المعماري للعام الحالي، وهذه هي المرة الاولى في تاريخ الجائزة الذي يرجع الى 25 عاماً تفوز فيها امرأة بفضل أعمالها المعمارية الحداثية.

Maggie’s Aberdeen Center by Snøhetta will continue Maggie’s legacy of bringing contemplative architectural to hospital sites; providing the all important right environment for Maggie’s to facilitate their programme of emotional and practical support to anyone affected by cancer.

A string of talented architects have now designed Maggie’s Centres, including the likes of Frank Gehry,Zaha Hadid and Rem Koolhaas. Snohetta will follow in such footsteps to design the latest Maggie’s Centre, and will draw on local expertise to realise the vision of the Centre.

Laura Lee, Maggie’s CEO, said: “We are so pleased that the application is now under consideration by the council. The design for Maggie’s Aberdeen is really striking and encapsulates the Maggie’s brief in providing a space that is homely and full of warmth, whilst sparking curiosity and imagination from its visitors. This is a building that will first and foremost provide the ideal environment for people facing cancer in the region to gain support, whilst also greatly contributing to architecture within the region. Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal has inspired a fantastic response from the community and I look forward to entering 2012 with such a tenacious and supportive team.”

Colin Welsh, Chairman of Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal Committee said: ““This is a real milestone for us and a time to thank all of the donors who have supported the Appeal over the last year when all we had to talk about was the concept of the Centre. I also want to commend all the local companies who are giving services free of charge. We are hoping that being able to see what the building will look like and where it will sit, will give our Appeal further momentum.”

Richard Carey, NHS Grampian Chief Executive, said: “What great progress for Monty’s Maggie’s Appeal to have reached this important stage in development. The initial design manages to be both stunning and modern whilst appearing welcoming at the same time. It will certainly be an exciting and most worthwhile building to have on our Foresterhill site and for the people of Grampian. This is a centre that will be greatly utilised by all in the region affected by cancer and it’s great to take a step closer to that reality.”

Charles Jencks said: “Snohetta, coming from the Norwegian culture, has great insight into the life and landscape of the Scots – particularly Aberdeen, a short hop from Oslo. Their mixture of a warm interior of furnishing embraced by a protective shell strikes just the right balance for Maggie’s.”

For several years Baku has been experiencing an incredible building boom

For several years Baku has been experiencing an incredible building boom. They build new hotels, office buildings, skyscrapers, modern art museums… which are just stunning! In this article we are going to show you the amazing combination of modern architecture and history.

Driving around Baku, you see building cranes and building lumber all the time. They have three areas to work on. First of all, they reconstruct old Soviet buildings. Secondly, they preserve the ancient part of city by building new buildings in the same architectual style and limiting the entry. And finally, they build multiple modern buildings of unbelievable beauty. On the picture you can see a modern shopping mall and a Hilton hotel. Looks great at night!

The building boom began after the country had won in the Eurovision Song Contest. The pace of construction is really fast because everything should be finished by 2012.

This new building is a carpet museum. It looks like an unrolling carpet. The tower which shows the time is from the Soviet era. It fits great into the modern surroundings.

Look at the building on the left. It looks like a historic building, but in fact it’s new.

The parks are clean and they look just perfect! Fountains, neat lawns, benches, illumination… It’s very pleasant to be there!

Flame Towers are the symbol of the city. These are towers of 34, 37, and 37 floors with hotels, offices, and apartments. Total floor area is 350 000 square meters. Construction budget is 350 million dollars.

The towers can be seen from any part of Baku.

Zaha Hadid is a famous architect who designed a ‘Heydar Aliyev Center’ with a floor area of 52 000 square meters, a park area of 111 000 square meters, a conference hall, a museum, a library, and a sculpture park.
