More info: The columns of Cathedral of Brasília (Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida) represents two hands moving upwards to heaven. Building’s design is based in the hyperpoloid of revolution with asymmetric sections. Made of 16 identical assembled columns weighing 90 t. Some people say it’s a copy of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.
